CONTROL Resonant FAQ

Short, sourced answers to the questions people ask most about CONTROL Resonant.

The digital release is 24 September 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Digital Deluxe owners on PS5 can start 48 hours earlier on 22 September, and the physical edition follows on 15 October.

It is the full-length direct sequel to Control (2019), not a side game like FBC: Firebreak. You play Dylan Faden, Jesse's brother, roughly thirty hours of main story and about fifty for full completion.

No. Remedy calls it open-ended: several large, distinct Manhattan zones joined by tunnels and corridors rather than one seamless map. You can freely pick the order of side content inside each zone.

Not confirmed. Xbox briefly listed the game as a day-one release in a deleted social post, but neither Microsoft nor Remedy has announced a Game Pass deal, and the Xbox store page only sells the paid editions.

Minimum is a GTX 1070 or RX 5600 XT with 16 GB of RAM and a 120 GB SSD; recommended is an RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6700 XT. The SSD is a hard requirement, not a suggestion.

59.99 US dollars for the Standard Edition and 69.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition. Pre-ordering any edition adds the Hiss Corruption Outfit and the Pickpocket's Tool Artifact.
